One product, two platforms: how we plan mobile apps

August 14, 2026 · 6 min read

The most common mobile mistake is shipping every feature to the phone. A good app does a small number of things instantly and leaves the rest to the platform behind it.

We start by mapping the moments that only happen on a phone: on-site, in transit, in a queue, in a hurry. Those moments define the app.

Everything else—reporting, configuration, bulk work—stays on the web, where it is faster to build and easier to change.

Both platforms then share one backend, one account system, and one source of truth, so the product can grow without a rebuild.
